I am a Stranded Fish

I slept all day in a confused dream,
Waking up only to find the night is silent, and
Looking into the mirror, ask myself gently,
Do you remember all the things in the past?
I was a stranded fish!
I am grateful to you, for
It was your warm hands which
Brought me back to the sea.
I dare not ease off:
Struggling to swim forever
Just for--
Repaying a warmth
Just for--
Fulfilling my broken promise in my dream
After thousands of years of hard work,
Deep down in my bones is the thought that
I need to struggle,
Being grateful to you
In every sunrise and sunset.
