Wild Geese
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert，repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you
mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the
rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue
air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
【作者簡(jiǎn)介】
Mary Oliver： 1935年9月10日生于美國(guó)俄亥俄州，13歲開始寫詩，1962年瑪麗前往倫敦，任職于移動(dòng)影院有限公司和莎士比亞劇場(chǎng)?；氐矫绹?guó)，定居普林斯頓。她的詩歌贏得了多項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)，其中包括國(guó)家圖書獎(jiǎng)和普利策詩歌獎(jiǎng)（1984年）。主要詩集有：《夜晚的旅行者》（The Night Traveler，1978），《美國(guó)原貌》（American Primitive， 1983），《燈光的屋宇》（House of Light，1990），《新詩選》（New and Selected Poems，1992），《白松：詩和散文詩》（White Pine: Poems and Prose Poems，1994）等。
【譯者簡(jiǎn)介】
倪志娟，女，1970出生，湖北天門人，哲學(xué)博士，杭州電子科技大學(xué)人文與法學(xué)院教授。詩人，詩歌翻譯家，主要從事哲學(xué)與文化，女性詩學(xué)研究以及詩歌創(chuàng)作與翻譯，近年來出版學(xué)術(shù)專著《女性主義知識(shí)考古學(xué)》（北京：高教出版社，2012），先后在《人民文學(xué)》《世界文學(xué)》《詩刊》《詩探索》等雜志發(fā)表詩歌作品與詩歌譯作，在《綠風(fēng)》詩刊開設(shè)三年詩歌翻譯專欄。出版詩集《獵·物》（2016，北岳文藝出版社），翻譯了多位英美現(xiàn)代詩人作品。
