Lamps flash with golden brilliance
Accompanying the dreams of the students at their desks
As the memory gate opens
If I walk pass that big glass window again
At that moment you look up and think
Your smile
As clear as moonlight
I really want to take that ray of light
And place in the center of the compass beside the dinning hall
The compass gives steer and direction
Nurturing students
And keeping them on the straight and narrow
Rejoice
In front of the Great Hall
Is your figure still active?
Against the dawn
Sometimes draped in the dusk
Waiting for the footsteps from everywhere
That handful of greetings
Enough to make young hearts fly
To the piano room to play
Passionate and melodious youth melody
How much I wish to stay
But . . .
I am leaving
Is your smile still there?
Inspiring
Flying through the green bushes of the campus
Recalling Memories
The sweaty students in the gym workout
The dashing horses on the racecourse
The rugby team embraced as one
Students celebrating the joy of victory
I am leaving
Is your smile still there?
Leading the ship
I am leaving
Is your smile still there?
The door to my classroom opens
And there you are, smiling
Finally here, ready to listen to one of my wonderful speech.
But I am leaving
But . . . who knows
Maybe one day our path's will cross
And once again I will be greeted by your smile
Perhaps one day I can teach again
At this wonderful place
And be greeted by your smile every day
Perhaps its not goodbye
But merely a see you again in the future
My day pauses for a moment
As I smile and recall your kindness

一盞盞燈在莘莘學(xué)子的桌前閃
當(dāng)記憶的閘門打開(kāi)
如果再次走過(guò)那扇窗
是否會(huì)剛好再逢著
你抬頭思考的一剎那
你的笑
如月光般清澈透亮
我好想借著那份光
去擷拾一顆星辰
置放在指南針的中心
那些黑暗中摸索的弄潮兒
定為此歡喜
疾步回歸自己的人生軌道
學(xué)術(shù)大廳前
你的身影是否依然活躍
頂著晨曦
間或披著黃昏
守候著四方腳步
那一掬掬問(wèn)候
足以讓年輕的心們
飛到鋼琴室演奏出
激情悠揚(yáng)的青春旋律
我走了
你的微笑是否還在
那校園綠蔭里飛舞
鼓舞著
無(wú)論健身房汗水淋漓的學(xué)子
還是馬場(chǎng)上四處秀著瀟灑的奔涌者
又或是那橄欖球隊(duì)里擁抱成一片的
慶祝勝利的喜悅的學(xué)子們
