我是一只鳳梨小鸚鵡
幾個(gè)月大就來(lái)到了這個(gè)家
是小主人買(mǎi)來(lái)的新寵物
人與鳥(niǎo) 我傻傻的分不清
因?yàn)槲疑聛?lái)就由人類(lèi)喂食
不知親生父母為鳥(niǎo)類(lèi)

I'm a little pineapple conure
Who came to this home when
I was only a few months old.
As a new silly pet brought
by my little owner,
I couldn’t distinguish Man and the bird,
for I has been fed by Man ever since I was born,
Not to mention who my parents are.

小主人把我安置在
一個(gè)高檔的金屬鳥(niǎo)籠里
懸掛了精制的水碗、食盤(pán)和吊床
又準(zhǔn)備了各種玩具和美味鳥(niǎo)食
給了我一個(gè)舒適的生活環(huán)境

My little master put me in
a luxurious bird cage made of metal,
Where he placed a bowl to hold water,
a tray to hold food and hung a hammock.
He also prepared a variety of toys and delicious food.
What a comfortable living environment!

但再好的鳥(niǎo)籠也不能滿(mǎn)足我
我喜歡外面的世界
喜歡在他的掌上玩耍
喜歡把他的肩頭
當(dāng)做我起飛的礁石

However no matter how good the cage is,
It couldn't meet my desires.
I liked the outside world,
I liked to play on his palm,
I liked to take his shoulders
as a reef for my taking off.

開(kāi)始時(shí)
小主人很喜歡我
經(jīng)常把我從鳥(niǎo)籠里領(lǐng)出來(lái)
我尖尖的腳劃過(guò)他的皮膚
我的身輕在他的心里
我的眼神在他的腦海

At the beginning,
My little master liked me a lot.
He would always let me get out of the cage.
With my pointed feet brushing against his skin,
My swiftness got into his heart,
And my beaming eyes got into his mind.

有時(shí)我趴在他的胸口上
用又彎又長(zhǎng)的嘴觸碰他的臉
他教我模擬親吻的聲音
然后 伴著他的哼唱翩翩起舞

Sometimes I would perch on his chest,
Touching his face with my long, curved beak.
He would teach me to imitate the sound of kissing,
Then, I would dance to his hums.

漸漸地
這樣的快樂(lè)時(shí)光不多了
小主人光顧我的次數(shù)少了
和我玩耍的時(shí)間短了
我輕輕地呼喚他
他卻經(jīng)常聽(tīng)而不聞
水碗里的水換得不勤了
食盤(pán)的食兒添得不及時(shí)了
鳥(niǎo)籠也不再清理得那么干凈了

But sometimes afterwards,
These happy hours began to dwindle down.
My little master's visits became less and less.
The time to play with me got shorter and shorter.
And he would often ignore my soft calling.
There were no immediate food and water for me.
The cage was not as clean as before.

他總是盯著手里的
一個(gè)發(fā)亮的小本子
任我呆在鳥(niǎo)籠里
我多想鉆進(jìn)他的小本子里
讓他天天看著我入迷

a shiny little book in his hand,
And just let me stay in the cage.
How I longed to get into his little book,
And let him look at me every day!

這鳥(niǎo)籠隔離了小主人和我
我在一個(gè)有形的籠里
他在一個(gè)無(wú)形的籠里
我們都被關(guān)進(jìn)了籠中

Looking at the bars of the cage,
I slowly come to understand
The cage keeps my master and I apart.
I live in a visible cage,
He also lives in an invisible cage,
Both of us have been caged always.
