Autumn Heartbeat

Autumn breeze: fallen leaves are yellow,
Fluttering in the air.
Someone asked: Is leaf fall leaving
The pursuit of wind?
Or the tree's refusal to stay?
Fallen leaves smile without saying a word,
Rotting down to the roots,
Turning into Spring mud,
Repaying the grace of nurturing.
Casually picking up some flaming red leaves,
I heard Autumn’s heartbeat and
The leaves’ profession.
