Life is short with occasional fleeting moments,
Casual partings prompt emotional torments,
No need to refuse merry banquets too often.
Distant obsessions seem futile in front of all the rivers and hills,
Falling petals in breezy rain further saddens a spring season,
Just cherish the ones around you with due appreciation.

Human life is transient and quickly spent;
It’s rife with partings by which my heart is rent.
Oh, happy banquets I should frequent.
Vast land and sky, how are my folks far apart?
Flowers gone with wind, I grieve to see spring depart

Only add to a roamer's unspeakable pain.
Better to cherish the ones right at side
Than to weep for those beloved beyond sight.

Like the time flying fast,
No one in this world can forever last.
Though farewell is common in life,
It still kills us like a knife.
So never too often refuse a party,
Which sees nothing but pleasure’s brevity.
Viewing the mountains and rivers in front of my eye,
I miss my family and friends in the distance.
Seeing flowers shattered by rain and wind to die,
I feel more spring’s transience.
Don’t grieve for things unpleasant,
Better cherish the people who are present.
