The thatched house is small with eaves low,
By a creek nice and green grass lushly grow,
So charming is the chat, tender and soft,
Between a white haired couple, who might know?
In the bean field old son is hoeing weeds,
Mid son’s weaving a chicken cage from reeds,
Cutest is the kid laying by the creek,
Naughtily peeling lotus pods for th’ seeds.

譯者、朗讀者簡(jiǎn)介：
魯四彬，漢英典籍翻譯。曾先后本科研究生畢業(yè)留校任教于湖南師范大學(xué)外語(yǔ)系和武漢大學(xué)英文系。1993年留學(xué)美國(guó)畢業(yè)后先在美國(guó)辛辛那提辛康軟件公司后在田納西州某學(xué)院工作。在美國(guó)曾參加漢語(yǔ)教學(xué)活動(dòng)，為教學(xué)服務(wù)，對(duì)古典詩(shī)詞的英譯有較多關(guān)注。
