Connected are the clouds and sea,
At the end of the horizon,
The sun sets and rosy clouds waft, you see.
Up and down water gushes,
Many a wave one by one pushes,
Turns cold that wet sand of yellow and white.
I accompanied my teacher to ascend Tonghai Xiumount yesterday,
And I look on my motherland across the Pacific Ocean today.
Reach as far as I can have a sight,
Turns a tiny shadow a boat light,
Seagulls perch on the beach for night.
At dusk tide arises from down to top,
Turbulent waves roll up.
Night breezes blow,
To send sails afar, lo.
Opening wider my arms for my home,
Chant nostalgia poem:
Thousands miles of ocean roll the wave beam,
Load on the back-way ship my returning home dream.
Wait for the sun sink,
Chase the moon with colorful clouds flow,
The night lights burn and glow.
注: 此詞作于1995年5月于美國洛杉磯。1996年5月參加中國神州之光全國新詩和傳統(tǒng)詩詞創(chuàng)作大獎賽獲傳統(tǒng)詩詞三等獎。并人選1997年《中國當(dāng)代詩詞選》第5集(1998年2月，新疆人民出版社出版)。甲秀: 指云南通海秀山。此詞于2021年9月2日譯成英語。
Note: The lyrics composed in Los Angeles USA in May 1995. With it in 1996 in participating the China National New Poetry and Traditional Poetry Contest, it wins the third prize of traditional poetry in the Ci Writing Competition and is also Selected Chinese Contemporary Poetry and Lyrics, Vol. 5, 1997 (Published by Xinjiang People's Publishing House in February 1998). Tonghai Xiumount: A well known mountain in Tonghai, Yuxi,Yunnan province. This lyric is translated into English on Sep.2nd, 2021.
詩人/譯者簡介：
任誠剛，英語教授。1989年畢業(yè)于美國康科迪亞大學(xué)。系威斯康星大學(xué)研究生、旅居美國十四年。1998年回國在云南農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)外語學(xué)院擔(dān)任教學(xué)與測試室主任、云南省翻譯工作者協(xié)會理事、研究生高級文學(xué)翻譯等課程教學(xué)。發(fā)表論文50余篇。出版《韻譯天安門詩抄100首》《英韻周恩來朱德及陳毅詩選五十首》等譯著。
Ren Chenggang，professor of English, graduated from Concordia University US in 1989. He was a graduate student in University of Wisconsin and lived in the United States for 14 years. In 1998, he returned to China and worked at the College of Foreign Languages, Yunnan Agricultural University, serving as the director of the Teaching and Testing Office and is a council member of the Yunnan Translators Association. Teaching Advanced Lilterary Translation and other courses. He has published more than 50 papers. Translation books as rhymed versions of 100 Poems of Tiananmen and 50 selected poems by Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Chen Yi etc.

Yun Duo, whose real name is Song Xianyun, is a Chinese anchor of “Overseas Phoenix Poetry Translation society”；a retired cadre of a state-owned enterprise in Tianjin. She has been engaged in TV broadcasting and editing work in large state-owned enterprises for many years, and often served as the host of various activities. In 2018, she participated in the Binhai New Area Peak Recitation Competition and won the first prize in the combination category.
