前言：鬼節(jié)指萬圣節(jié)(HALLOWEEN)。西方風俗，在萬圣節(jié)前夕(10月31日)，是夜兒童可以縱情玩鬧，挨家挨戶要糖吃; 各家門前擺設雕飾的南瓜，據說是“以鬼除鬼”驅邪;有的家里舉行化裝餐、舞會等。
陣響鈴聲，
門開見一娃娃隊。
扮裝新鬼，
笑問甜糖給。
尚飾南瓜，
魅眼魑牙嘴。
如守衛(wèi)，
影幽居內，
“百怪”翩躚會。

Door bell rings,
Group of kids stand in front of door.
Dress up as new ghosts all,
To beg for sweet candy given more.
Decorate pumpkins,
Eyes and teeth reveal from goblins.
Stand in front of yards
As brave guards,
In blue dazzling lights balls,
"Ghosts dance” shadows reflect on walls.

① This poem was written on October 31, 1996, and published in Poet Daily, Lujiang, Anhui, Vol. 26th 1997; And translated into English on Halloween of 2021. HALLOWEEN refers to spirit festival in western country. On Halloween Eve (October 31), children can indulge in play, begging from door to door for candy to eat; Pumpkins with carved decorations in front of each house are said to drive away evil spirits. Some families hold masquerade meals, dances and so on.

任誠剛，英語教授，【海外詩譯社】副社長。1989年畢業(yè)于美國康科迪亞大學，系威斯康星大學研究生、旅居美國十四年。1998年回國在云南農業(yè)大學外語學院擔任教學與測試室主任、云南省翻譯工作者協會理事、研究生高級文學翻譯等課程教學。發(fā)表論文50余篇。出版《韻譯天安門詩抄100首》《英韻周恩來朱德及陳毅詩選五十首》等譯著。
Ren Chenggang，professor of English, graduated from Concordia University US in 1989. He was a graduate student in University of Wisconsin and lived in the United States for 14 years. In 1998, he returned to China and worked at the College of Foreign Languages, Yunnan Agricultural University, serving as the director of the Teaching and Testing Office and is a council member of the Yunnan Translators Association. Teaching Advanced Lilterary Translation and other courses. He has published more than 50 papers. Translation books as rhymed versions of 100 Poems of Tiananmen and 50 selected poems by Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Chen Yi etc.

Yun Duo, whose real name is Song Xianyun, is a Chinese anchor of “Overseas Phoenix Poetry Translation society”；a retired cadre of a state-owned enterprise in Tianjin. She has been engaged in TV broadcasting and editing work in large state-owned enterprises for many years, and often served as the host of various activities.
