Autumn winds blowing, autumn leaves are falling
Flapping their wings, wild geese fly south
The sun sets unwillingly
Escorted by the wanderer's tears
I've spent the best years of my life away from home
Only to dream of the road back home again and again
Where birds twitter over fragrant flowers and gathering clouds
Like fallen leaves yearn to return to their roots
The road back home must be
The most heart-warming journey I'll experience
Just like my mother called me to eat when I was young—

Enlightenment

I left home when young
Hard working overseas
And living frugally
To save money for my mother's old age
My Ideal was good and perfect:
In case of she could not take care of herself for age
I would send her to a best nursing home
And accompany her with all my heart
However, time does not wait for people
My mom died suddenly last year
When I want to do my duty, my mom has gone
Leaving me with regrets and guilt forever
Money can't buy time
Nor bring my mother back
Parents don't need your money
They just hope you are well
And go home often to visit them
Filial piety needs to be done as soon as possible
That’s what should be enlightened heart-wrenchingly

He was member of the 4th and 5th Councils of the TAC (1998-2009), and awarded the TAC Certificate of Honor of Senior Translator in 2011. He has published 16 papers in three core journals for translation in China and 6 books on translation. He won three awards, EXCELLENT（first place）, MERIT and ACHIEVEMENT, in the international CALL FOR TRANSLATIONS OF THE NOTED SAYING “桂林山水甲天下”organized by Guilin Municipal Government and the TAC in 2005.
