The trees they grow high,
The leaves they do grow green,
Many is the time my true love I've seen,
Many an hour I have watched him all alone,
He's young but he's daily growing.
樹木漸漸高高長，
枝上葉子青青旺。
妾身頻頻見摯愛，
獨(dú)自屢屢悄悄望。
當(dāng)下郎君年雖幼，
可他日日在成長。
木はだんだん高くなって
枝には葉が青々としている。
妾の身はしきりに愛する人に會(huì)う。
一人で何度もそっと眺める。
いまはまだ若いが、
しかし彼は日々成長している。
Father, dear father, you've done me great wrong,
You have married me to a boy who is too young,
I am twice twelve and he is but fourteen,
He's young but he's daily growing.
親愛家父誤我身，
將吾嫁于幼年郎。
郎君現(xiàn)年十四歲，
為妻老其十年長。
當(dāng)下郎君年雖幼，
可他日日在成長。
親愛なる父は私の身を誤る。
われを幼年郎に嫁がせる。
郎君は現(xiàn)在14歳である。
妻にしてその十年を越す。
いまはまだ若いが、
しかし彼は日々成長している。
Daughter, dear daughter, I've done you no wrong,
I have married you to a great lord's son,
He will be a man for you when I am dead and gone,
He's young but he's daily growing.
愛女為父沒有錯(cuò)，
將汝嫁給貴胄郎。
他年老父乘鶴去，
夫君相伴日月長
當(dāng)下郎君年雖幼，
可他日日在成長。
娘を愛する父は間違いない、
汝を貴冑郎に嫁がせる。
後ほど老父は鶴に乗って行ったら、
夫と君と月日が長い
いまはまだ若いが、
しかし彼は日々成長している。
Father, dear father, if you see fit,
We’ll send him to college foranother year yet,
I’ll tie a blue ribbon all aroundhis head,
To let the maidens know that he is married.
One day I was looking over my father’s castle wall,
I spied all the boys playing with a ball,
And my own true love was the flower of them all,
He’s young but he’s daily growing.
父親若果您贊賞，
送夫一年讀郡庠。
為其戴上藍(lán)絲冠，
昭告眾女此吾郎。
一日駐立父家墻，
觀看男生鞠球忙。
俊如花朵系君郎，
其雖年幼日日長。
お父さまがほめてくだされば、
夫を一年間郡庠に通らせた。
青い糸の冠をかぶせ、
この吾郎を女衆(zhòng)に告げた。
ある日父の家の壁に立って
男子學(xué)生鞠毬を見て忙しい。
花のように君の郎を結(jié)びます
幼いながらも日々成長する。
And so early in the morning at the dawning of the day,
They went into a hayfield to have some sport and play,
And what they did there she never would declare,
But she never more complained of his growing.
清晨黎明初晨光，
干草場里嬉戲忙。
為妻從未過問過
不再怨郎慢成長。
朝の初めの朝日の光,

At the age of fourteen he was a married man,

良人十四為人夫，

良人は十四歳で人の夫となり、

長くない人生を送った。

買布為郎做壽裳，
針針線線淚千行，
