1. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Lufeng Hot Spring (Ancient Star Summer Rhyme)
By the spring, idle thoughts stir dreams shy and sweet;
Warm mist drifts, chasing away cold sorrows complete.
Birds’ songs by the pool add grace’s gentle beat;
Rain on stones dances, where pure feelings meet.
Poetry immortals, with drunk eyes, wield brushes neat;
Royal concubines, like creamy jade, in fine silk take seat.
I’d borrow the Old Lord’s cauldron fire, oh so fleet,
To brew this work, for ten thousand years to keep.
2. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Ode to Red Maple Ridge (Ancient Rhyme Formal Style)
In late autumn, the Yunling Mountains blaze red like a tide;
Flowing rosy clouds soak the land, enriching poems with pride.
A cold stream babbles along paths, where playful mongooses bide;
Tired birds sing in woods, by bright green maples they reside.
On stone trails, seeking seclusion, spotted peacocks hide;
By wooden bridges, poets snap photos, their spirits wide.
Alpacas graze, looking naive and cute, side by side;
Heaven-sent, a wandering dragon lingers in this scenic tide.
3. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Ode to the High-Altitude Glass Bridge (Ancient Cloud Autumn Rhyme)
Stepping across the sky, I hear dreams’ soft chime;
The transparent bridge thrills, as green poems rhyme.
Wind sways, birds soar through mist a thousand times;
Rain shakes, clouds roll, with ten thousand gold spots shine.
With a turn of hand, I can “catch” the beautiful peacock fine;
Leaning sideways, I seem to kiss the smoky woods divine.
High in the void, don’t fear, though mortal courage may incline;
Shout loud, and the spinning bell wakes a hundred scenes so fine.
4. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Maojie Scenery (Ancient Double Same Rhyme Formal Style)
Water ripples, clear and serene, in a quiet elegant dress;
Camping tents stand, where the riverbank’s rhyme does express.
Pavilions’ reflections dance, as poetic winds caress;
Meadows veiled in mist, where the painter’s brush does bless.
Sparse bamboos line the way, where dragon waterfalls impress;
Rockeries stand in disorder, making Phoenix Garden progress.
Beyond worldly worries, the scenery shines, no distress;
Maojie, oh Maojie, is the best place, I must confess.
5. Seven-character Pailü (Extended Regulated Verse) · Ode to National Highway 318 (Ancient Single Rhyme Formal Style)
Sword-like mountains reach the sky, cutting clouds that fly;
A hundred valleys glow with gold, by the national highway nigh.
At mountain passes, blowing winds swirl with snow, oh my;
Ice lakes reflect the sky, as full stars homeward sigh.
Outside the Zaxi tent, the huqin’s melody does lie;
Before Zhuoma’s tower, auspicious sleeves wave high.
When horses gallop, they chase rain and fog goodbye;
Where prayer flags dance, they bathe in sunset’s dye.
Gather hada, wander through flower seas, under the sky;
Drink highland barley often, treading green mountains nigh.
Scenery climbs to heaven, as if with jade palaces to comply;
In western Sichuan, enjoying views, poetic charm does fly.
6. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Menggen Flower (Ancient Cloud Autumn Double Rhyme)
Frost adorns grass, where larks sing their clear tone;
In October, Menggen Flower blooms, with grace well-known.
Its stamens burst like flying clouds, dewdrops like fair maids shown;
Branches sway with dreams, the beautiful flowers like gold glow.
Its fragrant cheeks with grace through palaces are blown;
Its pretty face, soul of poetry, into imperial woods is thrown.
Don’t say spring’s glory has lost its dazzling throne;
In the future, chrysanthemums will bloom, with late fragrance grown.
7. Seven-character Pailü · Ode to a Medley of Red Songs (Ancient Double Same Rhyme)
Red songs resound across the nine states, bright and clear;
Joining voices, golden sounds ring, with high spirits near.
Guerrillas fought in tunnels, driving enemies with cheer;
Nan’niwan showed its beauty, a scene so pure and sincere.
Red Morningstar lilies bloom, their songs loud and clear;
Shaanxi folk songs spread history, year after year.
In the Dabie Mountains, we cleared snow-capped barriers, my dear;
Yangko dances for soldiers, sending pigs and sheep, so dear.
Liuyang River winds, shining bright, without fear;
“Awa New Song” blooms each year, bringing joy sincere.
For national rejuvenation, China thrives, oh so clear;
Never forget our original aspiration, standing tall, my dear.
“The Story of Spring” makes mountains and rivers grand and sheer;
Entering a new era, our country prospers, without peer.
8. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Periwinkle (Ancient Cai Chun Double Rhyme)
Sunset hues nourish the eye in autumn and summer halls;
Green shadows and sparse bright blooms light up the colored screens tall.
Pink cheeks hold tenderness, bathed in dewy warmth’s call;
Green branches carry grace, around the pool, fragrance does fall.
Pines and bamboos adore you, luring clouds to float and enthrall;
Swallows and herons miss you, playing with water sprites, so small.
Follow your heart’s desire, let spring stay forever, that’s all;
Beautiful poems accompany old age, making elegance stand tall.
9. Seven-character Pailü · Golden Autumn October (Ancient Single Rhyme Formal Style)
Autumn skies are high and bright, adorned with frosty charm;
Festivals embrace us, moistening the bed of dreams warm.
National Day songs float across the land, loud and calm;
Mid-Autumn moon’s glow soaks the poetry hall, soft and balm.
Mountains wear green waves, like the Milky Way’s way;
Rivers reflect clear ripples, like the universe’s hallway.
Cold Dew wets new fields, where misty waves dance and sway;
Double Ninth Festival’s old wells shine in sunset’s ray.
Red maples clothe a hundred ridges, like flying rainbows arrayed;
Yellow chrysanthemums in a thousand gardens, in bright makeup displayed.
Shepherd’s flutes ring at dawn, urging horses to run unafraid;
Fishing boats sing at dusk, with fair maidens by their side, not delayed.
Put down books, lie and watch, startling herons that stayed;
Cast aside paintings, look up, seeing phoenixes soar, unchained.
Halloween’s ghostly faces add fun, unconstrained;
The nine states’ harvest songs make elegance known, unrefrained.
10. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Snapdragon Flower (Ancient Rhyme Formal Style)
Dazzling eyes, pure and lovely, clustered like jade balls;
Fairy-like grace greets travelers, filling their trips with joys.
Yellow stamens bloom in the sun’s imperial halls;
Pink petals blush in the evening moon’s altar calls.
Quiet dances and soft frowns form a painting’s scroll;
Gentle songs and sweet smiles leave marks in poetry’s role.
Its charming posture and beautiful scenery bring leisure’s goal;
Fragrant shadows fly across the world, like phoenixes bold.
11. Seven-character Regulated Verse · Chinese Hibiscus (Ancient Rhyme Formal Style)
Gorgeous blooms cling to branches, reflecting the water’s edge;
Blooming at dawn, fading at dusk, enchanting travelers’ hedge.
Jade-like flowers are like cartoons, their fragrance a fantasy pledge;
Green leaves carry poems, their shadows true, not a wedge.
Sunset bathes the beautiful platform, glowing in the green garden’s ledge;
Mist shrouds the charming stamens, making red lips shine, not dredge.
This fragrant bush must be a treasure from the heavenly lodge;
