據(jù)史載: 中國◎沈陽，西漢時期已具城市輪廓，稱“侯城”;唐代改稱“沈州”;公元921年，遼太祖移民至此修筑土城;金代時期金太祖攻占沈洲，沿用“沈州”之名;1296年，元代重建土城，改沈洲為“沈陽路”，歸遼陽行省管轄，由于沈陽地處沈水（渾河）之北，以中國傳統(tǒng)方位論，即“山北為陰，水北為陽”，故改沈洲為沈陽。從此，“沈陽”這一名稱正式出現(xiàn)在史料上，距今已有702年的歷史。1386年，明朝改“沈陽路”為“沈陽中衛(wèi)”;1625年，清太祖努爾哈赤把都城從遼陽遷到沈陽，并在沈陽城內(nèi)著手修建皇宮（今沈陽故宮）;1643年，清太宗皇太極改“沈陽”為“盛京”;1644年，清朝遷都北京后，沈陽為陪都;1657年 ，清朝以“奉天承運”之意在沈陽設(shè)奉天府，沈陽又名“奉天”;1911年，辛亥革命后，沈陽成為奉系軍閥統(tǒng)治的首府;1923年，正式設(shè)立奉天市政公所，沈陽首次出現(xiàn)市的建制;1929年 張學(xué)良在“東北易幟”后，改“奉天市”為“沈陽市”;1931年，日本帝國主義發(fā)動“九?一八事變”并侵占沈陽后，又將“沈陽市”改為“奉天市”;1945年 抗日戰(zhàn)爭勝利，“奉天市”恢復(fù)“沈陽市”名稱;1948年11月2日， 沈陽正式解放。1953年 沈陽市改為中央直轄市;1954年，沈陽市改為遼寧省轄市;1964年，中共遼寧省委決定設(shè)立沈陽專區(qū);1993年， 原鐵嶺市的法庫、康平縣劃歸沈陽管轄，新民縣撤縣建市。至今， 沈陽市轄和平、沈河、大東、皇姑、鐵西、于洪、蘇家屯、東陵（渾南）新區(qū)、沈北新區(qū)和棋盤山開發(fā)區(qū)10個市區(qū)以及新民、遼中、法康、康平4個縣（市）。
把沈陽建設(shè)成為中國的重要城市，人居適宜、人與自然和諧、生態(tài)文明與精神文明之都，是每一個沈陽人的責(zé)任。沈陽市文聯(lián)有《詩潮》雙月刊弛名詩壇;有女詩人火鳳凰創(chuàng)建的《沈陽頭條》文學(xué)專欄，譽滿海外詩壇。

一如既往、九死未悔，那墻角數(shù)枝
梅，遭遇了寒苦，卻笑在、花眠中
秋冬色如鐵，人間多雨雪
美姬身心故，冰肌玉骨清
動月黃昏里，眾芳非獨寵
流韻在云橋，天邊燦小星
定定天涯日一一層冰
積雪消，春來更蔥蘢
一朵先開放，初生為元綻
花開如亨泰，結(jié)子利暢通
當(dāng)花瓣離花朵，暗香自繞魂
經(jīng)雨雪風(fēng)霜浸，落紅非無情
化作春泥處，新生伴麗影
匆匆四季里，梅主常問情
春意嚶嚶，夏日炎炎，秋風(fēng)
瑟瑟起一一冬雪茫茫覆紅粉
美肌如雪，撲我頰面，一醉香凝
獨得美姬幻逸仙，不顧窗棱撒冷

As always, died many times without regret, the Plum blossom at the wall corner, is suffering from cold, but still laughing, sleeping
Autumn and Winter are like iron, no fear of rain and snow
The beauty's body and mind are still the same, with ice skin and jade bone
In the moonlit evening, not only flowers are blossoming, but also stars are flashing over clouds and bridges
As a layer of ice settles on the horizon
Snow is disappearing, green Spring is coming
One bud opens，as coming first,
To be so lucky, with smooth and easy birth
When petals are off from flowers, their fragrance continues to fly,
After rain, snow and wind, the falling red is still touching
Turned into Spring mud, the beauty is in a new life
In the rush of four seasons, the Plum blossom is often asking for love
Through blossoming Spring, hot Summer and windy Autum,
Sorrow from snowy Winter is to cover the red beauty
The beauty's skin is like snow, pouncing on my cheeks, making me intoxicated,
I am dreaming to dedicate to the beauty, regardless of iced cold out of the window
